Why are natural oils so good as skin moisturisers?
Natural Oils such as Coconut & Olive Oil are what’s known as occlusive ingredients, to use a scientific term. They form a protective barrier on the skin and help to lock in moisture, making them great skin moisturisers.
Both Coconut & Olive Oil are lauded as two of the best products on the market for a natural skin moisturiser but ultimately studies have found Coconut Oil fairs better as a moisturiser than its rival.
What are the health benefits?
A lesser known fact about Coconut Oil and one that may come in handy is its healing properties in treating antifungal and antibacterial infections.
The fatty acids can help fight against harmful microorganisms found in skin infections such as Athlete’s Foot.
